So yesterday my boyfriend introduced me to his parents for the first time (we have been together 1 year)
We said hey, how are you" to his dad
And then we took his mum for dinner
But during the the way to restaurant and during dinner, she would always talk about things related to money:
- how she's going for holidays to asia and cost $30,000 and hows its so expensive
- how she went on a cruise and whats there
Etc etc
And during dinner, she would mostly talk about my boyfriend's younger brother instead of my boyfriend
- he did this, he did that
- showing me pictures of him
And when she ask me questions, she ask:
- do you work? What do u do?
- what car do you own?
She hardly talks about my boyfriend to me and she doesn't ask much questions about me
The only relevant questions she asked about me:
- how old are u?
- how many siblings do you have?
- where do u live?
She never even asked how we met, or anything about us
His mum talks so much during the trip there and coming back and during dinner
My boyfriend paid for all of us for dinner
After we dropped her home, my boyfriend says to me:
"See how much shit she talks? Its so embarrasing. She only talks about money money money. She doesn't talk about me much right? That is why it took me long for you to meet her. Its so embarrasing that she talks like that infront of you. She knows you're my girlfriend so she should know better. you're right next to me and she's talking stuff like that infront of you. Im so pissed off. Dont worry, you won't meet her again for a year or 2. Im not gonna see them"
During dinner, I did observe my boyfriend as well
He was quieter than usual and I can feel that he looked uncomfortable and dont wanna be there
I feel sorry for him
But is this right or wrong?
Is this normal?
My boyfriend had a bad childhood with his parents so doesn't live with them anymore

My boyfriend and I been dating for more than 1 year
He does the following:
- he calls me every night before we go to sleep (he ask about my day, how i am, etc)
- whenever im sick, he drives all the way (he only lives 20 mins away) to my place and to check how i am doing and brings me food
- he shows a lot of affections towards me in public and in private
- in public, he would always want to hold my hand or put his arms around me
- he makes sure that we spend time together every weekend (go to movies, dinner, etc)
So there's an event im hosting this week and I invited my whole family to come and I invited my boyfriend as well
I told him my parents and brothers will be there
He agreed to meet them but he's very nervous about it since it would be the first time he would be meeting them
He had 2 past girlfriends but he has never met any of their parents
Im his longest relationship too
Do you guys think he's serious about me? Are these some signs he may be serious?
Or i shouldn't jump into that conclusion?
