Zuri is 15 years old. She's a freshman in high school and is popular, well liked and always goes out to parties/ wears dresses and has a great boyfriend. She has a 17 year old brother named Nelson who's 17. Nelson barely has friends, often gets bullied, his best friend from elementary school recently died, and Nelson was also beaten and sexually assaulted. Nelson has always been a weird kid, and stood out. Zuri felt embarrassed of her brother and wanted nothing to do with him. She told Nelson it was his fault he was sexually assaulted, beaten up and he deserved it for being so stupid. She also told Nelson see, if you weren't so weird you would have friends. See, your hair looks awful no wonder no one likes you. She also called Nelson pathetic, weak and useless. She used to black male Nelson about the time he used to shove tampons up his ass. She eventually told kids at school. . He was teased relentlessly. Their parents were getting a divorce, Nelson was hurt by this a lot. Zuri didn't care and adored her new step sister.

One afternoon Zuri told Nelson that he was pathetic, stupid, she wishes they were never siblings and she didn't care if she saw him again or not. Nelson left and hid his face. 50 minutes later The house got quiet. It bothered Zuri a lot. She called out to her brother but no one answered. She just heard weeping and the water running. She called again and asked him what he wanted to eat. Water poured from under the door, Zuri managed to unlock the door. To see Nelson with slit wrists, he took 70 sleeping pills and was shaking uncontrollably and vomiting blood. Zuri screamed in horror and called the police. She did CPR on her brother and forced him to vomit out all the pills and wrapped a towel over his bleeding wrists.

I’ve been friends with this girl since we were little. We call ourselves best friends but it always seems like she treats me lower than her. Everything I do she has to one up me or pretend she does it too... She even made me walk by myself to her house because she wanted “alone time” with her boyfriend when WE WERE ALL WALKING TO THE SAME PLACE. She’s made me walk in the rain by myself when she got a ride, and made an excuse as to why I couldn’t come in the car with her.

She does this stuff a lot, and she is ALWAYS with her boyfriend, and she’s ALWAYS asking for attention by being “goth” and saying she’s depressed, suicidal, has OCD + anxiety, and has vertigo and tons of other illnesses that SHE HASN’T EVEN BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH. And the reason she hasn’t gone yet is cuz she knows it’s for attention. She’s also already had sex with 3 guys and we’re only 15!

Don’t get me wrong though... we’ve been best friends forever and I’ve let her ways fly, but I’m considering just dropping her now. She’s actually sleeping over as I type this, she went to bed early. She’s mad at me because we didn’t do what we planned on doing.

I won’t have many other friends if I drop her because she’s one of my few friends... But I think it’s best. What do you guys think?
