As life passes us by

with every renewed license or bus pass,

or piece of good grass that gets us from a low place to high,

we go as in & out of fashion as the seasons spring, summer, winter

& falling out of the way of those who we thought once were at our beckon call.

So we smoke our cigarettes & blow smoke every day as

regardless of what we breathe in; life makes us choke,

& some days may involve two different ways the human body can stroke.

Morbidity is the ingredient inherent to the human soul that guides men to the stripper pole

The worst kind of sin is that committed against collectives

at least that’s what people say who’ve spent too much time feeling their own wrist.

The tryst is between us & existence

The appetite of the every-man is sated never in that way he looks far, the struggle is real.

It lies with common folk

but we have been given some godly benevolence.

As our nature spoke us into being with these two wrists
