So I always hear guys say they like naturally pretty girl and then they always have the crush on or date the girls with a face fall of makeup and covered in fake tan and have hair extensions in, I'm not being bitchy I'm sure them girls probably have a lovely personality as well, (well some probably do but not the ones I've met, the nice girl is a whole, fake act usually when their in front of the boys) but any way I don't get guys like that. I don't know if guys just don't realise that's not what they look like, without makeup.

I'm constantly told I'm naturally pretty and how lovely a person I am (i know it's hard to believe from reading this ) but I've always noticed the bitchy fake girls with a shit ton of makeup on usually get the guy and maybe I'm a bit salty today because I'm sick of experiencing this myself but I'm feeling like joining the club of fake bitches lately.

I have blue green eyes and i currently have tan skin since I just came from a warm tropical area, and I want to change my look a little. What hair color looks bets with tan skin and bright eyes?

My boyfriend is white, I'm mixed (white mom/black dad). I think my skin tone is similar to Zendaya's. Anyway, I've never had an issue with being a mixed kid and I've dated a bunch of guys of different races and I never felt like it was an issue.

This current boyfriend however seems to avoid the topic of us being an interracial couple. He gets very uncomfortable when I point out that we are of different races and refuses to comment. For example, once I mentioned something about people close to me calling me "nega" and "morena", which I think are cute but are used for tan/dark skinned girls, and he said he preferred to avoid them for being 'racially charged'. When I met his parents mentioned that he told them beforehand that they weren't supposed to ask me anything about race, which is a topic I really don't mind. If that makes any difference, he's German Argentine and I'm Brazilian. We both live in Brazil.

Is he just afraid to sound/seem like a racist or is there more to it? I can't help but feel like deep inside he doesn't want to think about the fact that I'm not white? Am I overreacting here?

I was talking to a friend of mine about this and I realized I look for traits similar to my father’s in men. This really creeped me out at first but the more I think of it the more it makes sense.

For example, my dad has always been a very funny, outspoken guy. I can’t date quiet men with no sense of humor. My dad is also very ambitious and career driven, and I’ve often found myself in relationships with men like that. My dad was always responsible for the meals at home; I can cook for myself, but if a guy cooks, that’s a huge bonus for me. And the list goes on.

I also find myself to be attracted to tan skinned, black eyed men — again, my father’s features.

I don’t have any daddy issues, my dad’s just a good, regular father, who was always present and who I admired my whole life. So it got me wondering, how common is that?
