Hey guys,

This girl was my date to formal dinner last spring and we texted over the summer. At the beginning of the year, she ran up and hugged me.

A couple days later I was a jerk at a party. I got very drunk, yelled at girls for going into my room and stealing alcohol.. and was generally a menace.

I was in a very bad spot around 4am. I thought that this girl I liked was ashamed of me. I drunk texted her that she was important to me, and I desperately wanted to explain my behavior. I told her that I was fond of her and was regretful that I drank so much.

She responded the next day at 4pm, saying that she appreciated my kind words about her, but that the way I acted was not OK, and that she hoped I learned from it.

The next night I see her at a friend's party. We avoid each other. She won't look at me. She and her friends immediately leave.

The following night, she and her friends show up at the townhouse I share with some frat brothers to pre game. weird. It is immensely awkward. I play pong with her friends and she stands 15 feet away, facing away from me.

That night, there is a party we all go to, and I go home with another girl.

The next week, I am at another party and sitting at the dj booth and the girl I like is standing behind me, giving me some weird look. I'm too drunk to make sense of it, and side step her.

I hear from a friend that she's aware that I went home with another girl. She mentioned it very matter-of-factly and didn't seem too bent out of shape about it, but she's not an open book.

fast forward 6 weeks. I haven't even tried to contact her.

I am at my frat house when the cops show up to break up our party. I clear people out and see the girls that "my girl" usually hangs with when they go out. The "huddle" includes her roomies and sister, and they leave with "my girl" nowhere in sight.

I walk around for a few minutes and clear people out. I walk into the kitchen and "my girl" is standing at the counter, sticking out like a sore thumb.

We make eye contact, but it is very strange. I have no idea what she's up to, and break eye contact. I step around her and open the back door, telling everyone to go home. I see now that maybe she was trying to talk to me, but am not sure.

Perhaps she was upset that I did not initiate a conversation, because she then walked out fairly quickly, grasping my bicep with her hand as she passed by my body. I did not realize it was her until she was walking through the door.

A week passes, and I decide that was her way of trying to get me to talk to her. I text her.

I show her a video that my friends and I have made, advertising an upcoming party of mine. She says that my video was incredible and that she had better get an invite, or else!

We flirt more. She sometimes texts me back at 10pm and I won't respond until the next day at 2pm, after practice/class. When this happens she'll take 7+ hrs to respond.

What do you guys think I should do

This girl was mad at me for a few weeks after I was a jerk to her friends. One night I got drunk and drunk texted her that she was important to me and that I really cared, and wanted to explain myself but if she wouldn't respond, I'd take the hint that she didn't like me.

Naturally she ignored the text.

I acted like a man whore the next few weeks. After 6 weeks of no contact, a funny thing happened!

I was helping to clear out a party and saw her friends leave without her.. Which is strange because they are inseparable when they are out at night. A few minutes pass and I walk into the kitchen where my girl is standing alone. In retrospect I think she was waiting for me, because we made instant eye contact. I stepped around her and told everyone to leave the party. I imagine she felt bad that I ignored her, but I had no idea she was trying to talk!

She walks past me to leave, putting her hand only arm as she goes.

A week passes and with the help of GAG I decide to text her. I invite her out to a party, but she cutely declines because it is Monday night. She says enough that I feel she's not brushing me off, so we converse and tease each other. At first she responds within 5 minutes, then within 20..

I show her a project of mine online. She's pretty thrilled when I tell her about a party I will have in three weeks

"wow that is amazing. Brilliant even. And you had better send me an invitation."

I tease her "or else what"

She responds " or else shtt is going to hit da fan!"

She is being cute, but after a few days and only a few texts back and forth, there is some weirdness. I don't ask direct questions always, but she will take hours to respond, or sometimes won't for 15+ hrs and I'll have to double-text her.. But then I get a response, just it comes like 40 min later.

She is definitely enthusiastic and flirting.. But I don't know why she's not responding quickly all of a sudden or asking more questions.

When we are in person, there is definite sexual tension.. But she is a very shy and reserved girl, I would guess not experienced sexually, and from what I can tell very "traditional" in expecting me to be the "hunter" and initiator of all contact.

Bare in mind also that she was my date to a formal dinner and in better times she would be eying me down in bars.

Can you guys offer me any advice or insight? Is she just looking for me to make a more forward move?
