So this guy was showing signs of possible interest, for a while- like constant eye contact, initiating conversation, his friends smirking at me, and other things. I started gaining feelings for him. But it has slowed down and now he just looks at me, but nothing else:(

A month ago he heard from my "friend" that I was thinking of asking him to sadie hawkins dance, which wasn't true because I already had a date. He didn't act different for that month. The other day I added him on snap as a friend, and HIS BROTHER went on IG live and was like "ol who's that girl that was going to ask you to the dance? and said my name. Then he called a mutual "friend," apologized for his brother, and calmly explained he already had a game that day and he's not interested in those dances, blah blah blah. The thing is, I think this "friend" told him I had feelings for him, which i sorta do.

The day after he told her he had a game and stuff, I texted him letting him know that I wasn't going to ask him in the first place, and that me and the "friend" he told, weren't even close. He replied "hahahaha its all good no worries" an i thought everything would be cool.

I went back to school today and he sorta ignored me by going out a different door so he wouldn't have to pass me. Do you think this is because I sorta rejected him back from the dance,
because he thinks I have feeling for him
because he's embarrassed about what happened with his brother

My name is Elise and I am a sophomore in college. Last October I met my best friend named Mo. Over the course of a few months we grew to be inseparable and there never seemed to be a day where we didn't hang out. We got in a fight a while back over a guy that she liked who I decided to ask to my sorority's formal dance as friends. At the time I didn't think it was a big deal but then I realized that it was a poor choice on my part because I didn't talk to her before asking him. I've missed her since the day we decided to not be friends anymore and she told me she was done, and I really want to fix things between us. There were 3 months where we didn't talk to each-other at all and then we ended up having the same math class so we became cordial with one another. We are now friendly with one another but that's all there seems to be. I really want to text her and see if we can hang out or talk about what happened because I really miss having her in my life. Do you think it would be okay if I reached out to her and saw what she thought, or should I just forget about it? Any comments are helpful!! Thanks!
