Before you claim it is sexist women can get sick from everything men do plus they have to deal each month with periods. So basically, having the same amount of sick leave puts women at a disadvantage, because they could also get sick from other things. Plus, for sick leave you need to have proof from a doctor. Imagine a doctor wasting time with that every month considering how many women are out there.

Painkillers can take more than 1h to kick in and the pain may came again in a few hours, so the whole process repeats itself and to that it is added the constant need to poop, the anxious feeling and the tiredness caused by periods disrupting sleep and medication making women sleepy. So, in the worst period days it is quite hard to be productive.

And if you're a man or a woman with light periods than doesn't give you the right to disqualify other people's pain. Some people have quite painful periods and it isn't always something wrong there to be fixed. I just think people should have the right to choose and not have others make them feel bad for it.
