I had some family issues that affected me. I had a boyfriend with whom I broke up because in puberty I realized I never wanted to have sex with him. He was a great guy, I still regret having hurt him. After that I rushed into a relationship with a really hot guy I had deep emotions to, we dated a year, he abused me and humiliated me but I didn't realize it back then. I wanted to give my virginity to someone I'd eventually marry. But I gave it to him in hopes he'd connect with me more because I really wanted to marry him. He dated me a year. Had some kind of one time entering me sex and broke up with me. Now I am dating the love of my life, my actual future husband. He knows I wasn't 100% virgin but no details because I felt so much regret I couldn't tell him all. My friends have married their first kisses or first sexs. I regret not telling my boyfriend but it's visible he prefers not to know the details. Also I hate myself for ever being with that jerk ex. Am I a bad person?

However I’m aware that there are a lot of guys who don’t like talking about feelings and emotions very much, and generally don’t like having those confrontational talks about how they’re feeling.

So, what are some of the things you’d do, and signs/hints you’d give if you’re strongly considering making things serious with the girl you’re dating?

E. g. level of communication, introducing her to your friends/family etc.

And how would you feel about her initiating the conversation on how you feel about each other, and where things are headed?
