Search Results: over weight

I was scrolling through some photos I have saved and noticed I happen to have two versions of this one. I can, and sometimes do, edit and flip them, yet this was not done by me. I wonder what the original photographer's cropping was, or if he flipped it to make it better, in his view.

Anyway, a small question, but wondering which one you prefer.
There is a theory I learned many years ago that depending on what region of the globe you reside, you may prefer certain photographic and art compositions over others, and it could be related to your language and what directions (left-right, up-down, etc.) you read.

This is not a personality test, and there are no right or wrong or mystical answers. I have a background in photography and design and these sorts of things interest me, particularly now when they may be related to sociology and cultural differences. These geographical and cultural differences may also influence your preference for what direction the subjects look or face, visual weight, negative space, how visually dense or sparse you prefer, in art, interiors, etc.

Anyway, this is probably one of the things I like most about GAG - so many different people and cultures mixing and mingling together.
If you feel like it, tell us where you're from, and maybe we'll see some common pattern? Or maybe not.
