Search Results: a guy has never approached me

So I’ve liked a guy at my work for a while now and I decided to text him last night even though we’ve never talked before. I just said hey. Well now the problem is that he hasn’t opened my message but some of my coworkers told me that he is always on his phone, so it means he definitely saw my text probably in his notifications and he didn’t open it. So I don’t know what to think now because I only texted him in the first place because I was getting a strong vibe that he was into me but maybe unsure/shy about making the first move so I did it for him. I thought he was into me because I kept noticing him glancing over at me repeatedly, I’ve caught him staring at me and he awkwardly looks away, my friends have told me he turns and looks specifically at me and also that one time he was staring at me for almost a whole minute and I didn’t notice because I was busy with something else. He also tries to get my attention frequently, like he will talk really loudly, walk in front of me a lot, and just try to bring attention to himself. There’s also been times that he has made eye contact with me and smiled while holding the eye contact for 2-3 seconds. We also always seem to catch each other’s eye eye from a distance. His closest friend at work has also approached me multiple times to try to talk to me and be friendly with me/tease me. So I don’t think I’m wrong in assuming he’s interested but I don’t get why he hasn’t texted back or even opened my message yet? But what do you guys think?

I’m in my mid twenties and the lack of attention I’ve received from guys throughout the years has impacted my self esteem negatively. I’ve had to try online dating since I’m lonely and unnoticed in person. And you best believe that hasn’t worked for me. I’ve lost weight too and I’m still never approached. I’m told I’m attractive, sometimes by strangers yet still no suitors. I just want to cry over my lack of relationships and how sad I feel. I feel like I’m doomed. Trust issues from previous negative social encounters hasn’t helped either. I just wish I was that girl that could bounce from relationship to relationship because of my multiple options but I’d be lucky to get one date. Could I be invisible because of my looks?

Sometimes when guys approach me at a party they start off very confident but quickly it gets awkward. Because i tend to have a quiet voice and am clearly not confident. Its almost like they look at me with pity -_-

Im 18 but I dont have a lot of experience with boys. I've had 2 boyfriends but we have never done anything and I can't flirt for shiz.

I do almost always become friends with these guys after a while but they more of treat me like a little sister more than a women.

I wouldn't say this has anything to do with my looks or body bc im average like a 6 or 7 /10

So my questions are: Do guys dislike shy girls? How can I seem more confident?

Lately, myself and some friends close to me have noticed that 2 work colleagues seem to have an unhealthy obsession with me.

Largely I keep myself to myself, and only engage in polite conversation with both males - as I do with everyone else. However, one of the guys has now attempted to make physical contact with me but touching my hand, when I was sitting eating lunch one day. I was sitting myself and he came to chat to me and touched my hand when he was conversing with me. So I decided to avoid him. Then a few days ago, he was seen spying on me from through a book shelf while pretending to place books on the shelf. As soon as I noticed he was crouched down there looking at me, I removed myself from the area. My friend told me he was then running around looking for me.

As for the other guy, he manages personal items that are ordered into our work place. The items should be placed on a reservation shelf for us to pick up - but he actually keeps my items so that I have to actually approach him to pick them up. He also makes comments when I try to collect resources from other collection points - insisting that I should be picking items up form his collection point. It’s getting tedious to be honest. And others are noticing.

Then, the other night I was approached by an odd guy dressed in a suit who started inquiring about my hobbies, personal life and romantic life. He was waiting to catch the same train as me and smiled when he saw me. He then approached me and said ‘sorry I hope you don’t mind me approaching you, but you look quite cute’ I just said thanks but felt quite awkward. He then sat with me for the 20 min train journey home, but never actually asked my name - which is weird. I feel as if he already knew my name and was looking specifically for me to get details. I’m inclined to believe he was hired to approach me by one of those 2 males. It was a seriously odd encounter.
