So this girl and I have been friends for a year. She's one of those people who socialize a lot and teases a lot, and she particularly liked doing it to me and my other friend, so I never really thought anything of it. However, at the beginning of the year I think she contracted feelings for me. She was tochier, more teasy. I began to like her too, and we both agreed we liked one another but to be friends and see what happens. I even told her if she didn't feel the same I understood, but she said she did.

But then after that she begins playing hot and cold with me, and she did it for 3 weeks and I got quite angry and flat out ignored her for 1 week. She began talking to me, but for some reason she still plays games - just last week she purposely made me jealous by talking to my other friends, ignoring me. It hurt me quite a bit. But she keeps on talking to my friend about how I never talk to her, even though she never gives me any signs of encouragement. But recently she seems to be talking to my friends more than I have to her, so I suspected something is happening. Today one of my friends said she walked up to them and asked him for food.. they even have two classes where they work together.. and talk about me. Then when I get to class she ignores me and treats me like a ghost and talks to my other friend (more than she talks to me) but then stares at me when I'm not looking.. wtf? Point is I think she likes my friend (s) because she talks to them more than me.. but why didn't she just tell me no when I gave her the chance? When I told my friends this they told me I was being paranoid.. but I legitimately think there's something going on... but why didn't she just tell me no?

I don't even know where to begin, just that what happened was I finally got over a 3.5 year crush and was finally able to move on.. but then I began to like my friend, problem was, I told her I liked the 3.5 year old crush girl and she began ignoring me, but she found out and she kept smiling and when I told her yes she told me she felt the same way but we should just be friends. But she played the hot and cold game with me and some days she ignores me for no reason, so I just decided to begin moving on. Yet she tells my friends I never even talk to her. I do like her but this is too much for me to handle after getting over a 3.5 year crush, and my friend keeps telling me about how they talk every day and about how strong their communication is. It's too much, especially since my 3.5 year crush ignored me too and during the time she even got a boyfriend and talked to every one but me. Now it's being repeated with one of my best friends. I've hypothesized I can move on in about 1 month, provided we keep at the same route.

Point is, is it fair I'm trying to move on? I told my friends and they keep telling me to not do that. Is it?
