Me and my boyfriend we’ve been together nearly about 1 year.

We stayed together a couple of times and we had really good moments. He’s from Portugal and I live in Luxembourg.

2 days ago , he broke up with me because he’s afraid of cheating on me , and he says he’s been focused on his drive license 🚘 he even say that he wishes me the best and he hopes that I will be happy with him or with someone else.

And he said that when he will cans here , he hopes that when we see each other , it won’t be an awkward moment.

I’ve talked to his oldest brother who also lives in Luxembourg, he said he made the same mistake as his brother 3 years ago ( he still loves her ) and he lost the girl of his life because of studying for the license, and later my ex will regret for the rest of his life 💔

So, I have a friend (20 F) who is dating the friend (26 M) of my ex (21 M). She has revealed to me that he has told their group of friends that the reason for our break up is because I was going out to clubs every night and that it was affecting his father's health (I was staying with his parents at the time time, while he was at university). That is obviously not the truth, and she said that he is saying this to gain sympathy from his friends (who were on my side after the break up). Truthfully, he cheated on me while we were long-distance and I found out from another friend. He never owned up to it and still continues to deny it, even though he began dating a new girl right after dumping me. Now, I have not talked to him since our break up a year ago but hearing that he is spreading this lie to cover up for his cheating really irritates me because he is making it look like I am the one at fault. If you were in this situation what would you do? Would you confront him about lying about you or would you just let it go?
