So, the other night me and the fiance were having a few beers. It had been a rough week so we were chilling, chatting, and somehow got onto the topic of celebs we find sexually attractive. We’re both open, not insecure and have never had a problem with the other finding other people attractive. Myself especially because my fiance is attracted to women who have “natural” or “regular” bodies, meaning he isn’t into instagram models or super fitnessy women. For a visual, I’m 5’, 110 lbs, 32C boobs. We were showing each other pics of celebs we found hot, and all of his were very “obtainable” types of low tier celebs, except for one. He showed me this one pornstar looking woman with tight abs and obviously fake breasts, which usually isn’t his type. According to him, she was just “something different” he enjoyed changing his visuals up with. Now, I had no right to be upset because I showed him pics of men much more in shape than he is and was ogling them pretty much lol. However, perhaps it was the beer or the hard week I had, but I got a little insecure and went to bed right after to avoid saying something. After I slept, I still felt a bit bothered until I realized how meaningless it was for him to find one really radically different woman attractive compared to myself, considering I was in the same boat. So, just tell me your thoughts? Has this happened to you? Am I nuts or do you think I really should have been upset?

For those who don't know, topfreedom is about the right of anyone, regardless of gender, to be able to walk around without a shirt in public.

I was introduced to it through the website TERA (Topfreedom Equal Rights Association), and immediately noticed that it was heavily political. I've been to free the nipple rallies and often speakers will go off on tangents about political issues not even remotely related to topfreedom, often demanding support for ideas and policies I'm opposed to.

Now I consider myself pretty conservative for the most part. There are patriarchies in the world, but I can't even say the word patriarchy in relation to American politics and keep a straight face. I'm also a staunch advocate of topfreedom movement for non-political reasons. Yet the movement seems to be entirely left wing and branching out to other aspects of far left ideology.

For me it's about desexualizing something that shouldn't have been sexual to begin with. Women are having to milk themselves like cattle before they leave the house if they don't want to risk some pervert treating them as a peep show, persecution, and in some areas even prosecution. That isn't right.

In societies where women never cover their chests you don't see men walking around gawking at them. They're not sexualized in those societies because they're a common sight. If we do that here nursing mothers can do what's natural, the embarrassment of the "nip slip" is gone, and run by gropings end within a few generations.

One of the common arguments given by topfreedom advocates is that the breast isn't sexual. I agree. Can we just focus on that, desexualizing the breast, and leave the politics out of it beyond what's necessary to overturn legislation?
