Search Results: prove to my boyfriend that i love him

If you don't care for the specific question or backstory, the main idea is what are logical arguments for or against christianity, specifically on the subject of Jesus.

This is a really great community for sound answers and is a great blend of people (I'm looking for average people, not the extremists you often find on religious debate forums) so I ask this here. I have a very religious boyfriend but religion was never really taught in my life until now other than my mom's strange blend of Earth spirits and Buddhism, so naturally it's a difficult concept to suddenly be brought into (yeah I know it's not the best match but I'm open to learning). He mentions Jesus as the basis for God existing on the Lord, Liar, or Lunatic premise as well as love between others indirectly being the work of God (not he decides who loves whom, but rather we love one another because there is a God or something to that effect...). If we take the aspects of the bible yet to be proved false (creation in a week kinda stuff) to be true and the bible is the written and many times edited and translated version of oral tradition, is there a chance that Jesus was misquoted saying he is God? If he is considered the "only way" to God, can it be rightly/wrongly construed to mean there are no other prophets or ways of life that lead to Heaven? I have often wondered if the strong surviving monotheistic religions in the world today are all referring to the same entity but within a slightly different facet of it (Judaism, Christianity, Islam). Boyfriend says that's logical until we examine the claim that Jesus made of being the only way to God, which proves the other religions in the world false. Can anyone make sense of this for me?
