It seems like no matter how nice you are to the leftists, they'll still stab you in the back by throwing you under the bus if you dare have the "wrong" political opinions. Goes to show how almost every leftist loves projecting their own cultist mindset and toxicity onto conservatives or anyone who doesn't share the same exact thought process as them.

Parler is a social media that was created to combat over-reaching politically motivated censorship. It was not developed just for conservatives but to give free speech to anyone without subjective censorship.

Personally I only support censorship when there is a directly explicit call for violence OR if someone explicitly uses a derogatory term to disparage a group of people who have no control over their native characteristics (being born a minority or a female is something no one gets to choose).

When I say “direct call go violence” I mean exactly that. It’s not okay to say “we should shoot Joe in the head and he lives at 2943 whatever st.” that is explicitly wrong and needs to be censored. But a phrase like “Karen is a liberal idiot and I hope her days are numbered.” is bad taste but not a direct call to violence. It’s open to interpretation.

Also terms like “nazi” or “libtard” should not be censored because it’s disparaging someone for behavior they voluntarily exhibited. That doesn’t make it alright or good to say those slangs but it’s not “violence” to say them.

Anyway back to Parler. I setup an account a long time ago and I was only on it for 5 mins. Yes it was 90 percent conservative which didn’t surprise me. Also the layout of the website isn’t that impressive. I also don’t want an echo chamber of political views. While Facebook and especially Twitter have increasingly become exactly that for the left, I personally am sick and tired of seeing political views 24/7 on social media. That’s why I voluntarily shut down my FB account 6 months ago.

To make it clear I’m taking about RIOTS not peaceful protesting. I know that’s a night and day difference.

I’m a moderate conservative and I am completely disgusted with what happened at Capitol Hill two days ago. I texted one of my far leftist friends and told her immediately I don’t stand for that crap. Not for a second.

However the worst part is now I’m even more uncomfortable and tense about how liberals are going to discriminate against people with differing political views. I voluntarily shut down my old FB account 6 months ago because I’m paranoid anything I’ve said (even 10 years ago) can be used against me in the workplace. Especially if I’m looking for a new job. I have never in my life been part of any radical organization, used racial slurs or even protested. But even just disagreeing with the prevailing leftist views gets you marked as a pariah nowadays. Liberals keep saying “this is the fault of Donald Trump and ANYONE who voted for him”. The latter part of of that statement makes me want to vomit. I never blamed the Ferguson and Baltimore riots on anyone who voted for Obama.
