No, I don't plan on getting married right now but I'm not going to lie when I say it's been in the back of my head for the future. Been seeing each other since September of last year. If you met us in real life you'd think we were already married. She's still in school but will be making good money as a Nurse soon enough. I'll be working in the engineering field very soon and have a good salary. Would be able to easily support us both while she finishes. Still want to go to grad school though.

I've experience more life than most guys my age. I was in Marine Corps after high school. I've experience a lot of crazy party years. I've had non-stop promiscuous sex when I was single. I've had previous relationships. Went through the police academy when I originally thought I was getting into law enforcement so I got to experience that even though I've decided to go with engineering. Going to be working in my field soon. (maybe reserve law enforcement later on). Right now, I don't feel I'd be giving up anything. I'd be excited moving into the next chapter so to speak.

If everything keeps going forward, I might be considering to make it official a year or so from now. I'm almost certain she would say yes. It's just a thought as of right now, nothing certain. I know the conversation between us is only imminent at this point. She's 21. I'm 23. What are the benefits of marrying at a younger age? What are the pitfalls? Any first hand experience?

I've heard all sides of the spectrum regarding this matter. But it seems unclear as to what is expected of us teenagers. Some discourage us from getting into any relationships as it interferes with our studies and hinders any progression in school. Some say that we need to enjoy life to the fullest and that we'll regret getting into relationships later in life. But there are also many that say that it's part of growing up and that we need to experience those relationships to grow. Many also say that they started out dating young and got married and they're living well.
