I'm sure most of us, if not all of us have things that we fear. Here are some of the things that I fear. I was diagnosed with anxiety and OCD, that might explain why I have so many fears.
1. Bugs, arachnids, any creepy little critters
You have no idea how terrified I feel when I see a insect. If I see a spider on my roof, it's like seeing ghost. I get goosebumps and my heart starts to beat faster. I've had multiple nightmares about creepy little critters, when I wake up from those dreams, I literally feel goosebumps and sweat.
2. Heights
I think I've always had this fear, whenever I climb even the smallest ladders I feel terrified. I start to shake a little. I don't ever plan on sky diving, or rock climbing.
3. Dying young/dying before I can have kids
Another fear that I have is dying young because I want to get married, have kids once I start my career. I want to see my kids grow up.
4. Dangerous illnesses
This is similar to number 3 on this list because I'm very afraid of getting a serious illness(cancer, naegleria fowleri etc). The thought bothers me a lot. Last year I visited my doctor twice for check ups.
5. Fire
I've always had pyrophobia, I'm even afraid of lighting matches. I feel uneasy whenever I see fire or anything that burns(campfire, barbecue, ovens).
6. Fear of losing limbs or fingers
I'm so scared of this, whenever I cut vegetables I wear protective gloves. I don't ever want to lose a limb or finger.
7. The afterlife
Being raised as a Catholic by my mother(my dad is more of a deist) I've been taught about what the afterlife is like. My mother has told me that there is Heaven, Hell and purgatory(temporary cleansing). When I venture into the afterlife after hopefully living a very long life, I definitely want to go to heaven. My only fear is hell, I don't want to go to hell. My mother has told how horrible that place is.
8. SJW's and alt righters
You probably know that I don't agree with either the SJWs or alt righters but I respect their right to have their views. After learning about them, I've started to fear and loathe these groups. I'm not afraid of any individual person, I'm afraid of their ideologies and how extreme both groups can be. Amongst the ranks of the SJWs are misandrists, while amongst the ranks of the alt righters are neo nazis/white nationalists.
9. Blindness
I fear this so much, I use to lose sleep over this fear. I never want to go blind, I even started to visit my eye doctor frequently to make sure my eyes are healthy. Recently I was diagnosed with astigmatism which means I might need glasses later on. Other than that, my eyes are pretty healthy.
10. Deafness
I worry about my hearing as well. I fear going deaf, the thought alone gives me dread. I don't want to lose my ability to listen to my favorite songs.
11. Women aren't visual
Although I don't worry that much about this anymore, occasionally the thought of women not being attracted to a man's looks really frightens me. I am turned on to know that a woman is turned on by my looks, if not then she only likes me for my personality which is a turn off.
12. Mental institutions or any kind of detention center
Thankfully, I've never been to any of these kind of places but I've developed a strong fear of them because I use to watch movies about these places when I was little and because I've read articles about how bad places like this use to be Hence why my perception of these places has been skewed. When I think about mental institutions I think about abusive orderlies and evil shrinks. However, I know that nowadays most mental institutions aren't inhumane.
13. Fear of damage to my reproductive organs
This is one of my newest fears, I'm very protective of my genitals. I constantly check my testicles to make sure that I don't have any signs of testiculat cancer, because I want to have kids when I grow up. I don't want anything bad to happen to my genitals.
14. Mistrust of people
I find it very hard to trust people, I must know a person very well and I mean very well in order to trust them.
15. Loneliness
What I mean is I'm by myself in my room and then suddenly I feel like if something is watching me. Especially if it's dark. Any little noise startles me. I remember one day, I was about to fall asleep then my cat jumped on my bed. That startled me so bad that I could hear my heart beat but I was glad that my cat was there to keep me company.
16. Clautrophobia
This fear started a few years ago, I can't be in small places because I get very desperate
17. Paranormal/supernatural
Maybe not everyone believes in it but a lot of people even the skeptics still acknowledge that this stuff can be frightening. I've never encountered any ghosts but this stuff still scares me. I only like watching it in movies or in video games.
While there are a few other things I fear, I'm not going to put them on this list because they are similar to the ones on this list.
