I'm crazy and I really need advice

Been best friends with her for about a year. she just got out of a relationship, her first serious major one ever. She STILL mopes and thinks about it from time to time.

I told her i recently developed feelings, she replied "Idk, not really tryna do anything since i just broke up". Week later we got drunk and made out, she told me she doesn't regret it

Another time we were talking about drama with her friend, and she said randomly: "I know ill always be friends with her, just like you and me. not saying we would never date or anything though"

Later I ask in a more upfront way about dating, she replies "I dont know". After a couple more times of asking, and giving it more time, I confronted her "Listen I promise things won't be awkward between us, i just want an honest answer. do you not like me like that?" and she replied "I'm telling the truth, i really dont know. i just can't commit right now"

I decided to stop bringing it up. We continued to hang as normal, i noticed she seems to feel hesitant about wanting to make out or cuddle again? One weekend we got into a HUGE argument and didn't talk for 5 days. The next time we hung out I said "I bet i killed our chances of dating" and she replied "Eh probably not"

. Anyway the last time we hung out i told her "You are so confusing. most girls just say any polite rejection" then i told her "You must feel something for me? you won't reject me for some reason" and she replied "i think you're over analyzing. i dont know what the future holds. if we date, then awesome. if not, then oh well. i just go with the flow in life"

Night after we last hung out, i texted her
Me: "Lately I just feel like I'm putting in a lot of effort for someone that's not really acknowledging my feelings at all"
Her: Okay
Me: Thats all you have to say?
Her: At the moment yes. I acknowledge your feelings but I don't want anything right now

This girl is seriously VERY neutral and I don't know what to do

Chasing women is a waste in this day and age as you basically place yourself in a position of lower value even if she does give you a chance because you had to come to her. In fact one can make a point if a woman really does want you their will be no chase. I've seen it all before where guys would work weeks, months, maybe even years trying to impress and win a girl over who couldn't really give a fuck about him and would only give him a chance when she gets desperate or needs a backup man/rebound guy after coming out of a breakup.
The same guy whose impressing a girl and trying to win her over. There is a guy who is probably only reply with 3 or 4 words, sometimes single word to this same girl and she's chasing him like crazy and giving him heart shape likes on his FB pics.

Chasing women is pointless and stupid. Focus on your life, build yourself up to a point where women would want to come to you. But this leads to another problem. The quality of women coming to you might not be good quality. Many could be gold diggers, opportunistic women who just want a piece of your hardwork. For a man who has risen to high status male level, women on his level still want to play the upper hand game where men (even on his level) must come to them.

And if you didn't raise your value high enough you might find yourself single for a long time get desperate and start chasing again.

Again putting you back in a position where you give women position of power by being perceived as more valuable and might even be settling for lower quality of stock of girls that you otherwise would of never settle for when you were younger.

So this begs the question chase or not to chase?
