I have a trip planned for this upcoming Friday through Sunday to this out of state resort. It has two indoor waterparks, with an outdoor waterpark. 4 Arcades, 9 restaurants, 3 spas, an xd 6d theater, 24 lane bowling alley, roller skating rink, 12 stores, a two story candy shop, laser tag, 4 mini golf courses, bumper cars, 2 indoor roller coasters, an ice cream shop with 95 flavors of ice cream or you can make your own, an indoor to outdoor zip line course, a petting zoo, under 21 nightclub, over 21 nightclub, swim up bars, a wine store, 3 indoor playgrounds, and a craft center with 3d pens and 3d printers. **The trip is planned for me, my husband, my 14 year old daughter, my 11 year old daughter and my 14 year old daughters friend**
We got a desert suite room with 3 bedrooms inside one hotel room plus a kitchenette, living room, balcony, and bathrooms. It costs $702 a night and we are only staying there for 2 nights. It also includes $100 resort credit, $200 arcade credit, and waterpark admission for everyone (its $85 per person for a day pass).

Cons:
We have to drive 9.5 hours to get there, depending on weather and traffic could make it longer
Food is outrageously overpriced ($7 for a bottle of water, and $16 for an omelette and 2 pieces of toast)
Super thin walls (can hear people next door whispering, snoring, tv on, bed moving) and the desert/hut rooms are on the other end of the hotel (hotel has NO elevators and has 8 floors, 994 rooms total)
Waterpark is open from 7am-12am and Arcade is open from 9am-3am (most things run on arcades hours of operation) so people will be running up and down halls all night
We probably won't get in until 8 or 9pm Friday and we are staying all day Saturday, and leaving by 10am Sunday (don't wanna get back home super late).
So much to do, so little time.

Although I'm only in 8th grade, many of my peers have already started dating. I have never had a boyfriend before and could never imagine dating anyone at such a young age. Yes, I know that adolescence IS an exhilarating epoch filled with rapid physical growth, unpredictable hormonal changes, and burgeoning sexual desires. However, this journey into adulthood is also why teenagers develop social and emotional insecurities and become too dependent on others' reassurance of their own self-worth and identity. It's quite appalling to me that my peers are under the false impression that their now-frivolous relationship, created through self-doubt, anxiety, and loneliness, will eventually blossom into a long-lasting, prosperous marriage and family. That's absurd. After the inevitable break-up, previous sentiments of love wither into bitter hostility and cruel disregard for their former bf/gf. It's a repetitive phase I know all too well. For example, my classmate shared photos of her boyfriend with captions about "I love him so much. He's the best human being ever!!!" on Instagram. When they broke up, she deleted her entire account, and now, they literally won't sit at the same lunch table... which has about 100 seats to choose from! Due to her obsession with finding the "right one," she moved onto the next partner less than 2 weeks after the break-up. This includes all of my peers, not just her. :(
