Most Americans are told that comfederate flag is about racism and slavery, while historically that's completely wrong. If the war had anything to do with slavery it's the northerns enslaving the southerners.
I don't deny that this flag was sometimes misused by neo nazis, but they're just misusing it.
•the civil war didn't start because of slavery, it started because the union was overtaxing the south. They had something called the mirol tax. Up to 47% of income of southerners.

•it's written in the constitution that any state can become independent, however Lincoln didn't respect that and attacked the south.

•some blacks like this man in the picture support the comfederacy and preach that it's for heritage not hate. There was blacks, and Indians in the comfederacy.
•the south didn't attack an army fort, they offered them 30 days to leave, they said they will but they didn't so they decided to attack the fort. No one died except one man, who was standing near an explosive barrel.
•I'm not southern, I'm Christian, and that X on the Dixie flag is a Christian symbol. That's the cross of saint Andrew.
The war on the south was a war on CHRISTIANITY. southerners were religious Christians. They built many churches and preached the gospel.
This flag for me is a symbol of liberty, it's the same reason Americans fought Britain to get their independence. But the union's tyranny is not shown in history because winners history.

I personally think so as in my eyes a woman who willingly signs up for the draft is a true feminist as they believe in equality and all the good and bad that comes with it.

We got too many women who talk a big game but piss off the moment this talk comes up saying things like "let the men have the draft, I didn't sign up for feminism to go to war"

There have been more talks regarding this stance and even president Barack Obama said he supported a gender neutral draft, and if the word on the wind is to be believed it's likely to happen within the next few years.

So ladies if you were requires to sign up for the draft would you do it?

The last time we had a president who wasn't elected as a Republican, or Democrat was when Zachary Taylor defeated Lewis Cass, and Martin Van Buren in the 1848 United States of America Presidential Election. Zachary Taylor was part of the Whig Party (and no, they didn't wear wigs).

Even though we can argue in essay format about whether or not Donald Trump is actually a Republican (or Democrat), or if he's actually a politician, or actually a conservative (or liberal)-For all intents, and purposes, Donald Trump was elected as a Republican President.

In the 2020 U. S. Presidential Election, we are almost certain to elect a Republican, or Democrat for the 42nd consecutive Presidential Election. I'm not necessarily a fan of the new-found popularity of the Libertarian, or Green Party, because I have a sneaking suspicion that will turn into a new "Republican vs Democrat" war. However, at the very least, it would be an interesting change to see a new party in office.

My preference would be to abolish all political parties, and go back to when George Washington was first elected: Run as an independent candidate with no party attached. However, I have very little doubt that will happen. Too many people see the R, and D next to candidates names, and solely vote on that.

Mattis quits, says his views aren't 'aligned' with Trump's

Washington (CNN) Defense Secretary James Mattis resigned Thursday on the heels of President Donald Trump's plans to withdraw troops from Syria, citing irreconcilable policy differences in a move that took Washington by surprise.
"Because you have the right to have a Secretary of Defense whose views are better aligned with yours on these and other subjects, I believe it is right for me to step down from my position," Mattis wrote in his letter to the President.
Earlier Thursday, a senior administration official told CNN's Jake Tapper that Mattis was "vehemently opposed" to the Syria decision and a possible Afghanistan troop withdrawal.

So now Mattis quits. Who is next?
