I'll sum this up as easily as I can. Basically the idea of women falsely accusing men of wrong doing is more prominent thanks to the #metoo movement.

And while I don't deny most who got sacked deserved it, there seems to be this grey area where women seem to be encouraged to take unwanted sexual advances and pit them in the same category as attempted rape.

The idea that a woman can just suddenly take consent away, because she was wasted, had a shitty one night stand or was just ashamed of cheating on their SO.

If women were hoping to change mens behavior through fear of pain and accusations then it has backfired. Rather then dealing with nom committal consent, a lot of men have just decided to avoid romantic or sexual relationships altogether. Not out of any sort of hatred but because we just don't know what we would be dealing with.

Is she chill or is she uptight?
is she easily triggered or doesn't worry about trivial things?
Is she being open with me or am i being manipulated?

There's just no way to know for sure and so it's easier to not even bother.

So I wonder is this truly what women want?

There is a cute single girl at work that I work with a lot. Who I get along with very well. She is the pretty girl that takes as much as she gives to her co-workers messing with her. She is 2 years younger than me and single. We get along very well and sometimes lightly flirt.

The trouble is not us dating cause we are the same level in the same place. It is what happens if it does not work out. Cause we both know that we are going to be working in the same company for a good portion of our lives. Her in her future department and me in my future department. If things work out like we hope.

So do you think it would be worth it or a good idea to try asking her out, or should I resist and not get romantic cause that might be a bad idea?
