I watch my native city Atlanta Falcons defeat the Carolina Panthers 25 to 17. A missed extra point by Younghoe Koo kept it a 1 score position. I was so scared the Panthers would tie it up on last drive and potentially win in overtime. A late interception sealed the win for the Falcons. The Falcons now lead the all-time series 33-19 through 52 games.

The Falcons are starting to play a little better defensively and people on NFL Network were saying that the Falcons are a much better team than their record indicates but let a few slip by. Sadly, they buried themselves too deep with 3 losses to the Cowboys, Bears and Lions. They are 2-6 but can easily be 5-3 if not for those losses by 1 point, 1 point and 4 points.

Do you actually watch football on Thursday Night?

Does Matt Ryan look energized and does the Falcons show defensive promise or was this more or less than the Panthers just isn't a good team? Time will tell.

As of now, this is the NFL's last tied game. It was played in Week 1 of 2019. The last 2 years prior to this year featured a Week 1 tie. Options A to E are for 2020 only.

When Week 1 of 2020 played their 16 games, all featuring a winner, it avoided a 3rd straight year of a Week 1 tie. Would it have shocked you if it had occurred? With so many teams so close in talents, it wouldn't shock me. Heck, all you have to do is screw up 2 possessions in overtime and you have a somewhat decent 25% or so chance of tying.

I think it will happen in Week 11 this year, when teams seem to be grinding down for a playoff position. If there isn't one by Week 11, I doubt there will be one in 2020.

No idea why but I like seeing an 11-5 team get beat out by an 11-4-1 team while they complain about it, especially their fans.
