I'm ugly and shy so I can't flirt and no one has ever asked me out.
Now that iv got this old without knowing how to be with someone I wonder if I will ever be able to.
Is there still hope for me or is it too late?

He seems to be really interested in me (all the signs point to it) and I’ve made it very clear that I like him so he knows that I’m into him (I’m 100% sure of this). It seems like he wants to talk to me because he lingers near where I am and keeps glancing at me, yet he still hasn’t approached me, even though I’ve given him the chance (I sat down all alone and there was plenty of space next to me, and all he did was come over to where I was and stand close nearby). Does this mean that he is shy, or that he’s messing with me because he knows I like him?

Yeah it’s kind of a cliche question. So, I’m in college. I have known this guy for a couple years now. We talk every now and then. He says hi to me a lot and asks me about my classes and always looks into my eyes. He would look at me then look down when I noticed him & look away. And he tells other people how good I am at the art that I draw. I asked him for his snapchat once, but he wouldn’t give it to me and never likes my instagram pics. He asks me mostly yes or no questions & he hardly says anything when I ask him questions. He seems really talkative around some other people though, and seems really awkward around me and kind of lingers. He said he would study with me, but we never made actual plans.

At parties, (because it’s a big state school), he usually stands next to me & talks to me when we play drinking games. At a party in particular, I went with two of his friends and him & then the friends left and it was just the two of us. We were dancing as friends, but he kept looking around even though I tried to signal to him that I wanted to dance. He then went to sit and was on his phone, so I started dancing with another dude in a “more than friends way”. He looked up and eventually left. He still says hi to me and talks to me & asks the same weird as he did before though.

This guy Jake and I have worked together for 4 months. We are both awkward and VERY shy. He has NO experience with girls and has never had a girlfriend. He gives me mixed signals and flirts or doesn’t flirt. After a month of dealing with his BS I asked him (note he ran away and avoided talking to me direct 3 times prior to this) he very hesitantly rejected me and then instantly felt bad. I was upset and for whatever reason he was upset too. He briefly talked about it with my friend on Saturday and he said he felt really bad and he doesn’t even know himself if he actually meant what he said. Today we worked together and I avoided him like the plague (because I was still hurt) but he tried to get me to talk and was trying not to be awkward about it (which people were impressed he did it because he’s always awkward). I wouldn’t talk to him and would give him dirty looks and walk fast past him. He also saw me looking like I was about to cry and he looked like he felt really bad. There’s also a new guy at work and he was flirting with me but then stopped when Jake came into the picture and Jake looked very jealous about the new guy but the guy completely backed off with flirting with me. He also kept coming down and looking for me as he walked (I worked in a different area tonight). Jake was flirting with me because he was getting very close to me and making jokes and going oh yeah I think you need help with that in like a low tone with a grin while we were standing next to each other and Jake sat right next to me when that new guy was sitting across the table from us and Jake was taking my stuff and just being really flirty. I don’t get it And at one point tonight we were both so close and looking at each other like we were gonna kiss but then I stopped it and was like Jake aren’t you supposed to be in (his area) and he’s like maybe with a grin and I walked away and was like bye Jake. And. He’s like cya on Saturday on the way out and I’m like yep bye Jake lol
