Hey girls, so I am 21 years old and I've wanted to settle down already, get a wife and kids. To be happy.
I am handsome, cute, passionate about the things I do, I am a funny joker most of the time and giving. Some of those are the things girls have told me. But I feel like that is not the case or the truth. Girls are mean to me. One day girls are smiling and laughing while I am being funny and nice to them, the second day they have changed like what we had yesterday having fun talking was just a fake dream. What happened? This happens so often and I feel betrayed...
I used to be a shy boy, but now I am confident. At this point you are thinking I am a cocky guy. Clear that thought off your mind.
I am getting nowhere with girls. I get no girl to look at me, well I do. The only girls that like me are the ones who do a lot of drugs and stuff. It is not the kind of attention I want. I feel like I am losing hope and I got no other choice, but to settle down with those types of girls. I don't do drugs, I don't smoke or drink. I play basketball so I like to keep myself healthy. Girls don't look at me, and I am not expecting them to approach me. but not to even get a gaze? Something has to be wrong.
What does a guy like me have to do in order to get what he wants in love? My time is ending. If I don't get a girl at 24, It's over for me.

I am not tall (5''7), I am not rich, but I am talented and competitive.

Anyway my situation is so bad that I don't feel like playing basketball anymore, doing anything socially. I honestly feel like I am cursed.

Please don't give me an answer which makes the girls look like the victims here. I want a honest answer. Not an answer that hits a nerve you know? as in the answer makes no sense. If you think I am being a pitiful person, don't. Let whatever you think you feel like the answer you want to put out is, as long as it makes sense, progress for me to get an idea of some sort to understanding of the situation. Thank you

In 1979, I dated Pat. She was my first love. She was a cute girl but she was extremely unstable. I didn't care because she said she loved me. . . and she was cute. I ignored the fact that she was very insincere and very financially dependent on men. She broke up with me to go back to her ex-husband. In 2003, I reunited with her. We married in 2005. Late in 2006, she had an affair with another female. Early in 2007, we were divorced. FML!

In 1980, I dated Evelyn. I thought I loved her but I think I just loved having sex with her. . . and she was even prettier than Pat. She was a user of men and I was one of her victims. She went back to one of her exes and I moved 4 hours away from her. Later, I tried to reunite and establish a LDR but all I got out of my efforts was a little bit more sex.

After Pat and I divorced, I dated Oksana. She is a Ukrainian cutie and a sincerely very nice woman. We dated for about 6 months, but she got laid off from her job and then went to live with her adult daughter about 4 hours away. In 2015, I visited her for Valentine’s Day. We decided that the distance was too much of a barrier. In 2017, I saw her again. She has devoted her life to taking care of her granddaughters and I would never be her highest priority. Who wants to be number two?

Now, my standard advice is to not try to reunite with an ex. The problems that you initially encountered with probably resurface and even quicker the second time around. Of course, under some circumstances, it is POSSIBLE to reunite with an ex and make it work, but the odds of that happening are rather low.

Have you ever broken up with a significant other and then reunited, or tried to reunite? What were your expectations? Did it work? After reuniting, did it again fail for the same reason? A different reason? What is your advice about reuniting with an ex?
