I have posted a few questions about the behaviour of a co-worker in recent weeks but last night was odd. We had both been working late (genuinely, on my part at least, and hers too, I think) and so I gave her a lift home. I had never done this before as it is well out of my way and we usually leave at different times anyway. The journey was fine, the conversation flowed well enough. When we got near to where she lived she made a big thing of showing me where she lived, exactly (although I knew) and where people could park (it is on a busy road where parking is often a problem). I stopped nearby and let her out. The conversation was truncated at this point as I was blocking a side street and another vehicle came up behind me so she had to get out quickly so I could move off. That was all fine and nothing out of the ordinary. Anyway, this morning I found her necklace on the passenger seat. I hadn't noticed it last night, probably not having glanced at the seat at all on the remainder of my journey home. She had been wearing this earlier in the day. Do girls take necklaces on and off in the working day usually? Please tell me girls, I need to know how this necklace could have ended up on my car seat accidentally. At first though, I took it at face value then it dawned on me that I had read somewhere that girls/women often do this sort of thing as a way of ensuring further contact. This might sound crazy but I genuinely wonder if she wanted me to drive off, spot the necklace in the seat, turn round, park (in the place she had conveniently told me about) and return it to her where she lived (having conveniently made sure I knew exactly where it was). Am I reading too much into this? Please vote and any opinions about this specific case are very welcome.
