This guy I have been talking to online finally asked me to meet up after several months.
He did seem a bit nervous/shy/awkward (he's a techy/nerdy/gamer guy if that helps at all)
We went on a wonderful walk in a local park (almost 2 hours long), but for the first 15-20 mins he would walk several paces in front of me , just kind of leaving me hanging back, before slowing down (when I think he would realize I was far behind him with my short legs). When he would want to talk we would stop and sit on the park benches and talk for a decent amount of time before continuing. For the rest of the date he did much better about not leaving me behind so much
For dinner he let me pick where to go, even though he knows the area well, and he has some dietary restrictions I didn't know about, but it was all ok thankfully. He ordered my favorite appetizer to share and paid for dinner and drinks without even allowing me time to try to offer and pay.
We had lovely conversations about many things we have in common, and after our plates were cleared he let me know it didn't look full enough that we needed to hurry away.
He also walked me to my car, but then just waved at me and told me bye as he walked to his own car (and didn't even look back)?
I sent him a text letting him know I really enjoyed it and would love to see him again. He told me he had a nice time and hasn't mentioned seeing me again. However he has been talking to me more, since then. I just can't tell if he's interested or if it went well. I don't mind to ask him out, I just can't tell if I should?

So this guy was showing signs of possible interest, for a while- like constant eye contact, initiating conversation, his friends smirking at me, and other things. I started gaining feelings for him. All he does recently is stare sometimes.

A month ago he heard from my "friend" that I was thinking of asking him to sadie hawkins dance, which wasn't true because I already had a date. He didn't act different for that month. The other day I added him on snap as a friend, and HIS BROTHER went on IG live and was like "who's that girl that was going to ask you to the dance? and said my name. Then he called a mutual "friend," apologized for his brother, and calmly explained he already had a game that day and he's not interested in those dances, blah blah blah. The thing is, I think this "friend" told him I had feelings for him, which i sorta do. The problem is, i don't know how much she told him and if she might have lied to me or him...

The day after he told her he had a game and stuff, I texted him letting him know that I wasn't going to ask him in the first place, and that me and the "friend" he told, weren't even close. He replied "hahahaha its all good no worries" and i thought everything would be cool.

I went back to school today and he sorta ignored me by going out a different door so he wouldn't have to pass me. Why do you think he avoided walking past me?
