Me and my girlfriend have been serious for a long time now, almost 3 years. Recently she's been interested more and more in feminism, joining groups and reading up on feminist issues on Reddit. I haven't really had an issue with it until now. Our lives are pretty much perfect, I have a well paying job on the internet that allows me to be home and she's a stay at home girlfriend. A few nights ago we were talking about getting married, settling down, having children and thinking up names for our future children when she said that she doesn't want to take my surname because it's some kind of patriarchal sign of ownership. She's known for a while now that it's important to me that my wife and children take my surname, I'm the only son in my family so I'm the only one who can keep my family name alive and I don't want us to have different surnames. I equate taking my surname as important to me as the wedding ring is for her (she's not a gold digger but she's been planning her wedding since she was like 10, part of those plans is a nice ring she can show off to her friends). I don't think this is big enough to break up but if she continues with this, I'm not going to get her a wedding ring because according to a number of sources wedding rings are also a symbol of ownership if she wants to be like that.

I'm in a bit of a dilemma and I would appreciate if you could take the time to read my summary. I lack dating experience any advice would help.

I been dating this girl for the past 10 weeks. I like her a lot always look forward to seeing her and time flies spending time toghter. I find her to be pretty. I enjoy being affectionate with her cuddling, groping and kissing.

The only thing holding me back is the lack of strong sexual tension. I want someone who makes me want to rip their clothes of and get turned on every time I think of her. I'm attracted to her but not at the level I feel like I should be to commit to a long term relationship.

I know she wants a relationship and I feel like I might lose her if I don't make it official soon. I enjoy what we have now but I just feel like if I commit long term I would be settling. I'm having trouble deciding how to go about this for it could work for the both of us.

After our first break up she got back with a former boyfriend (casual according to her and friends) a month or so after we broke up. She during the breakup she said she wasn’t sure if she was in love with me and didn’t see me in her life a year from then (also mentioned the quarter life crisis stuff). Months later she texts me that she couldn’t get over me and We had a long talk on what happened the first time (communication and what not). I left it up to her to start new and she broke it off with that guy. It went great the second time just like the first. Exercising together. Weekend trips often. Was asked on her family vacation. After that she talks about bringing stuff over to my place and then two days later there are doubts again about her future. She likes what we have but was trying to figure herself out. Weeks later after doing some things together she says she doesn’t know if she is settling or not. This time she said she loved me which made breaking up hard.
She didn’t think you should work at love and didn’t see us being the best for forever. We didn’t mesh all the time (I don’t think we meshed all the time because she didn’t seem to want to fully commit and it always made me a little apprehensive.). I would do anything for her and us. Her family really liked me ( her niece said to me on vaca that she wish I could stay in the family forever, which crushes me every day...). It sucks... and now she just won’t finish it by giving my stuff back.
