I'm new to my uni as a transfer student and so far haven't seen anyone I recognize from my high school or community college so I pretty much have a classroom full of strangers! I'm shy & reserved so I'm not sure how to make friends other than if my professor ever has a group project or something because the class is bigger than what I'm used to and I hardly recognize anyone each time in lecture since we seem to sit in different places.

So far I've only had guys as the classmates around me to talk to but they just discuss the answer and that's it. Only one guy asked my name and introduced himself and turned out to be a transfer student too but he's a bit older like late 20s/early 30s as opposed to me and the majority of the class being early 20s.

I feel like everyone already has friends from their freshman and sophomore year.. and I've never been the new kid at grade school so I don't know how to jump in with all these new kids. And I feel like no one wants to be bothered since they don't try to keep the convo going as I overhear others talking about off topic things after discussing their answer to the professor's questions.

And I feel a little foolish because on the first day this one guy was running late after going to the bathroom and I accidentally took his seat but he so nice about it and sat someplace else. He said don't worry about it since it's the first day. A week later I see him running late again and after class I was gonna offer him his notes til he walked up to some girl he knew and asked her... ahhh so awkward since I was right behind him and had to pass by and say excuse me to him and he didn't seem to remember me

I am attending a community college in the fall. All of my friends have moved in to their schools, anywhere from an hour away, to across the entire country. I just wanted to know from any one who has had this experience, in the end, is saving money at a local community college better in the long run? Or would it be better to transfer to a school where I can live away from home? This goes for overall cost, experience, and overall time spent either at a CC or on campus where there are dorm rooms.

I transferred to a new school and I decided to wear makeup. I'm not sure I'll keep it up for the whole semester, most likely I'll get lazy and give up after a week or 2.

I used to just do mascara and lipstick but this time I did the whole sha bang bang with concealer and foundation. I'm not used to looking like that except for events. I give props to those that do it on the daily though.

Anyways I noticed that more of the "attractive" guys like the popular, pretty boy, etc type tried to talk to me or impress me.
The regular average joes just kept it platonic if I tried to talk to them in class. They didn't try to keep the convo going!
Usually the attractive guys dont even notice me and the average guys are sometimes friendly

I kind of got more stares but guys would just quickly look away. More guys smiled at me, but few approached me as usual when im not wearing make up. Guys usually just look but not smile.
I just thought it sucked that guys treated me differently since im still the same shy nice girl My make up isn't that big of a transformation. It's not like guys instantly were hitting on me
