Okay, so, my friend is in a relationship with this guy who is about five years older than she is (she's nineteen, he's twenty four) he is the first relationship she's been in since I broke up with her (you did read that correctly) and the first boyfriend she's had since she broke up with mr to-be-rapist a fair amount of years ago. (It's almost exactly how it sounds. The guy's a dick who does not seem to grasp that no means no)

I met the boyfriend, he seems pretty cool. He knows about the ex-boyfriend and even offered to beat the crap out of him if he ever tried anything again. That was met with a resounding 'I'll help you' by both my friend and myself.

So yeah, he seems like a cool guy.

Anyway, my friend and I were talking, we were joking about how myself and a mutual guy friend of ours were planning our wedding (fake wedding, it's become a running joke. At the moment it's pokemon themed) and she said that she doubted she ever would get married.
To me, if you're in a relationship, you generally are planning on staying with them, and you only shoot down the idea of marriage if you've both mutually agreed to it, or you're not planning on staying with them. I did manage to get out of her that it was the latter.

She then said something about him getting angry.

This set off warning bells in my head. I'm very protective of my friends, and I've been abused. Saying something like that is going to set off warning bells.
I asked her if he'd hurt her and she didn't answer. I asked her a second and third time before she finally said no. And that was that. I knew she wouldn't say anymore on the subject.

All I know is that he got angry and must have done something to frighten her if she's now considering breaking up with him. She says he didn't hurt her, but it did take a couple tries to get her to say it. I'm really worried for her. I was planning on having her over for the night so I could check her as she changed (yes I am that creepy) for any bruises but she had stuff on so couldn't come over.
