a guy told me he still has feelings for me. I've always thought he was attracted to me, and we have kissed. he's kissed me, I've kissed him, so im pretty sure he knows i think he's attracted to me. so is him telling me he has feelings for me just reiterating he's attracted to me or maybe he didn't realize i already think he's attracted to me?

or is having 'feelings' something different?

i just think its pretty self evident we are physically attracted to each other, so I don't know why he thought he needed to tell me that. and technically attraction is a feeling, so I don't know. i guess I don't know why hed tell me he's attracted to me, but I think if he meant something other than attraction hed tell me right?

and anyhow, what is the point of saying you still jhave feelings for someone, he's expecting me to do something or resopond? its just all very vague. i feel put on the spot without knowing what spot.

First scenario: you just recently got the girl you've been chasing for years, you've screwed up all your previous chances by flirting and being inappropriate with other girls and lying. But, your friend who is a weak person is talking to a girl outside of his relationship and your friend is telling you he doesn't want this girl and she isn't stopping with pursuing him. So, you decide one night while drinking with your friend to prove this girl is no good. So you harass her and promise to put her through college since you're in the military and you swear you could give her more than your friend ever could and you will also be there when and if she changes her mind.

Keep in mind you do this all while your girlfriend is at work and has no idea. 3 months pass by, and you're about to ship out to basic... and the day before you leave your girlfriend finds those messages and is heart broken... when she's about to leave you, you break down and beg her not to go. You know she cares about you and can't stand to see you suffer so you talk about how you don't want to join the military or anything without her.

Second scenario: your heart has been broken repeatedly by the guy who claims to have been in love with you for years, everyone is convinced he's mad for you and acts like you should forgive him no matter what... and you're tired of playing the victim to him and having him always completely disregard your feelings and the relationship you shared... you retaliate while he's in basic and kiss another guy. It was literally a sit down, think about it, and decided to do it anyways. To make matters worse you decided to kiss your ex knowing quite well that it would hurt your boyfriend just a bit more. You've full on disregarded your relationship at this point and you're about to end it and tell your boyfriend everything.
