Me and my bf (16 years old) have been together 8.5 months. About 2 months ago, he met this girl let's call her *Haley* in his math class. My friends told me that he would always look and glance at her every day and when he answers questions in class he would look to see if she's paying attention to him. At first I thought boys will be boys. But then my friends ask me "why haven't you broken up with your bf yet? He cheated on you with Haley! He's been telling people he hooked up with her for the past 2 days!" when I confronted my bf he denied starting the rumors and his friend was surprised and said "wait i thought you told me you had sex with Haley?" and I left. i texted his friend who was there when i confronted my bf and he said that my bf claimed to have slept with Haley last Saturday night. Which i know FOR SURE IS A LIE because i was with him last Saturday night and Sunday morning. The entire night!
I found Haley through mutual friends and she said "your boyfriend is a douchebag. I'm not a slut. i wouldn't fuck him. We have never even hung out let alone had sex." apparently she called him out at lunch and my friends recorded a video to show me that she confronted him about the rumor he started. In the video my boyfriend played it off like he had no idea what she was talking about but then a random guy cried out "dude just admit it!" and the video ended. So I broke up with him.
I'm curious, does he or his friends think Haley is prettier than me? Why would he tell people he slept with HER when he never did? I feel like he thinks she's prettier because of the fact that he lied about sleeping with her out of all the girls at school he couldve lied about having sex with, he chose her. Did he make up the rumor to impress his friends and show them that he can get with such a hot girl? Be honest i can take it!

my theory: If you have a boyfriend/girlfriend and you want to say something or do something, then do it. if they stay with you then they're the one for you, if they leave, you should move on.

I see all these questions on here with how hesitant people are to explain, express and execute their needs or wants to their partners, and for me, I just think that you should just do it! if they leave you, then that's not the right person for you.

Ive been and still am in a relationship where we both just let go of apprehension and hesitation and do what we wanted to in front of each other.

my man jams to goofy music and asks me questions all the time, and I actually like it more than if he were to sit there thinking of whether he should do it or not and what I would think of him. I like how much he doesn't give a flying rats ass about what I think, and he likes my no fucks given attitude too. we know who each other REALLY is, from day one.

I do the same to him, I dance goofy, make corny jokes, say weird things and ask a bunch of intruiging questions, and he is still with me so far. it feels so amazing to actually be 100% myself around my SO. I love that its been six months and he hasn't stopped loving me any less than the first day we met. he still make me feel that spark we had on our first adventure, and I wonder if its because he started out by being himself all the way.

do you think that you should not have to worry what your SO thinks of you? should they just blurt out whatever words they want to say, do what they wanted to do, and see what happens?

does my theory sound like it would work to you?
