Search Results: guys afraid to show feelings

OK this is my problem, although it will seem to you guys as a life/love story:

I am in a swing club type thing; it is a dance club which presents to the school occasionally. My younger sister is in it and her partner was being a total pain in the butt! He was saying that he’s too good for swing and that he shouldn't waste his time doing it. So I figured that since my partner, who at the moment was a replacement for my other partner who got hurt during a football game, could be my sister’s partner and then I could get my original one back. By the way, my older partner is also my crush.

Well, guess who decided to show up along with my original partner and replacement partner? My sister’s partner who quit the club came back and acted as though he never quit the day before a huge performance. Well, my original partner came up to me and told me that it is unfair of me to ditch the replacement and since he (my crush) was ditched before by a girl, he told me how hard it is to find another partner.

So during that whole discussion, I was rethinking about how totally fair I was being about the situation and how I was only trying to help my sister while hopefully strengthening my relationship with my crush. So now I am back with my “replacement” partner and my crush and original partner thinks that I am unfair and is not my swing partner anymore.

I want him to know that I really like him and that I was definitely not being unfair, but I don’t know how. He is always the guy who makes me laugh when I feel very upset and if I do end up telling him my feelings towards him, I am afraid that he will start to avoid me. For your information, I am in grade 10 and he is in grade 12; which is why I can’t not have him as a swing partner because I won’t get a chance like this next year.

I am thinking about telling him because then he could possibly understand my feelings and reasons for doing what I did.
