A friend of mine is 15 years old and her mother doesn't allow her to go into the forest even thought it's day and the sun shines. She lives in a small village and also the forest is pretty small.

My now fiance's mother has been my antagonist since I was 12. That was the day, she didn't want us to see each other anymore. My fiance and I have known each other since 3rd grade.

She really thought my mother had an affair with her long deceased husband. It was false. Basically, I got all the blame (and equally shamed) just because of what she thought my mother did.

She apologized this past Dec but I wasn't very forgiving. Part of it is because I feel she was apologizing for the wrong reasons. It was only just because she found out my mother didn't do it. So if my mother had been guilty the whole time, she would have thought it was right to continue treating me horribly for 10+ more years.

I got no choice I guess but to forgive. However, I'll forever keep my distance from her. Inside me, I still think she's a nasty person.
