I have minor social anxiety, fluctuating depression (meaning certain times of the month its worse, especially the week before menstrual), ocd, & occasional panic attacks. My depression is caused by not having any friends & no job, which I can connect back to my social anxiety. My ocd revolves around being a health freak. Im constantly washing my hands because Im afrade I have household chemicals on them from getting ready in the morning (makeup, hairspray, lens cleaner.. etc) I also reread assignments 8 times before submitting them to a teacher in worry of there being grammatical errors (I will probably b rereading this material multiple times before submitting it to the website). My panic disorder is brought on when Im in a situation that never feels like its going to stop. For example amusement park ride, or being in a movie theater with loud, explosive & intense audio.
This year my mental illnesses seem to have significantly reduced. The ocd is currently the worst of them, next to my depression. I used to have depression throughout the entire month & Im now proud to say that the majority of weeks are happier. I have been on both natural supplements & actual meds. In my opinion the natural supplement had same positive results with less side effects. On antidepressants, my life almost felt more empty. The sadness & anxiety went away, but so did the happiness, & every other emotion inbetween. Not to mention I became asexual. Even the effects of the natural supplement started to ware off after a while, & it tasted like crap too. So in the end I decided to just wait it out, to c if maybe it was only a teen phase that I would soon grow out of. I think I may have been partially right. The mental illnesses will most likely always b part of me, but at least now they're managable. I can now tell myself when a sudden sad spell arises that it will b temporary. Anyways, enough about me. what do u think is the best option in regards to enhancing quality of life?

Let's say you just turned 17 years old. Your parents hate curly hair and your mom offen tells you, you look like shit, curly hair is the worst hair, you look horrible and she says you'll never find a person to date or marry because you have curly hair and she says she'd rather you wear a garage bag on your head then wear your natural hair. Your dad says you look pretty with straight hair but when your hair is curly he says it looks trashy on you and he suggests you always straighten your hair.

If you don't straighten your hair or wear a wig your parents won't allow you to leave the house. They'll force you to be home schooled, refuse to take you to Job interviews, they won't take you to the store with them, and they won't allow you to go anywhere with your friends.

And dudes, if you're parents refuse to take you anywhere unless you cut your hair extremely short, or straighten it otherwise they won't take you anywhere, and say how trashy you look everytime they see you what would you do?
