I’m wondering how many people have gone through a similar situation where you had to for your own self respect reject a guy or a girl that you really liked.

How did you feel afterwards? How did you heal from it?

I recently started talking with a guy that I had a crush on. His the one who approached me in the first place. He also showed interest only to slowly start pulling away. He started showing signs of confusion as to his desire to continue this friendship/ new relationship maybe love thingy with me. I felt my emotions being hyped up unfairly by him. He new I had an interest in him. I had a hint that he was approached by other girls too as a suitor. He confessed he is stuck in making a decision and doesn’t want to upset anyone. When he asked of me to stay in contact. I felt it was totally unfair of him to ask this of me while his going to take his precious time deciding what he wants. I felt like a doormat that he can come and say Hi whenever he feels like it. One thing I did was to never pursue him when he took his distance. I stayed indifferent and acted like I don’t care and don’t live for him. He promised to see me one day but never planned anything within those two weeks. I felt like I had to put my foot down to avoid more hurt. So I told him that it was best if we stopped being friends and moving on. He never replied back to my message. I’m assuming he didn’t care and I actually just made it easy for him.

I know what this sounds like but we talked about everything, it was not a sexual relationship! He was really shy and I was more likely to make a move in him. He followed me to another city, he had a crush on me first and he even made me self-made earings! He spend every possible day with me as I was in his city. He let me stay at his place for 4 days I had my own room of course, he is still living with his mother at home. I never had a boyfriend and he was a real gentleman, he kept contact as normal for a while after I left his city. But Since I'm back in my country he started to become strange. I wanted to Skype with him, and tell him that if he doesn't want to keep contact that's okay but he should tell me honestly. I wanted to ask if we should just get in touch again if I come back to Japan but he never gave me a chance. He didn't say anything. He even blocked me on Instagram. What do you guys think is he thinking? I'm heartbroken and confused I never liked someone that much.
