I stumbled upon this post from r/AmItheAsshole that was on my Twitter feed, and the responses genuinely surprised me. I'd like to hear a second opinion from the G@G community:

My initial impression was that the OP was perfectly justified in feeling the way that he did, but that it was just the incredibly immature way in which he voiced his feelings that put him in the wrong. He was unnecessarily hurtful, no doubt.

But I thought the girlfriend was in the wrong too, because although he should've spoken up earlier, she'd have to be pretty dense to not notice how it made him feel, and it was especially insensitive of her to ask him to film it, himself. Additionally, asking him to focus on her butt clearly demonstrates that she was fully aware of the suggestive nature of her posts and was doing it intentionally. That comment was the indicator, to me, that this was no innocent act on her part.

However, when I read the comments (both on Reddit and Twitter), they overwhelmingly sided with the girlfriend, placing her entirely in the right. Meanwhile, they weren't even attacking the OP for handling the situation poorly--but for merely feeling the way he felt. Almost everyone agreed that his feelings were not justified, that they were rooted in insecurity, and that any reasonable person wouldn't have been bothered by his girlfriend's behavior in the slightest.
