I feel like it would be a waste of time going. im 33 I have a job making 35k a year in the banking industry good insurance pension and 401k been here since 2000. No degree, just HS diploma. All throughout life I just wanted to get through life simple as I could, make passable grades to pass nothing more nothing less. The main goal was to graduate then go to work, simple as that. I think I'll try to stay to retirement if possible.. Everyone around me all my life said why don't you go to college? A few reasons, i don't want debt, and I see no need to go, but since society thinks that a degree is the golden ticket, should I go? If everybody has a degree, kind of makes it less valuable.. then a few years later these same people say man, you're lucky no student loans, I can't find a job, be glad you don't have to worry etc. So does it sound like a good idea to go or not go?

I earn a good amount of money, not 400k, but a good plentiful amount. My girlfriend thinks that since I earn so much money that I should begin helping her pay off her student loans since I also don't have any student loans or debt. I even paid off my car. I have to draw the line somewhere on how much money I am willing to spend on a woman and I told her that this definitely crosses that line. She has 45k in student loan debt. I don't want to be used as a wallet. Am I right?
