My thoughts are on having exams in November and December and the school year finishing at Christmas. Imagine students all ages starting the year fresh in January and working hard through to summer with a small break half way through , then having the long summer break to kick back before a 10 week recap , then exams. Late Spring and Summer exams bring immense heat and to many hey fever sufferers and other issues too surely this is the worst time for exams

I dated my girlfriend for over a year and we started dating our senior year in highschool. We broke up during the summer because I was an atheist and she was a religious person, and she didn't think we'd make it work.
After a year apart, she reached out and said she made a mistake and despite the mutual animosity over the break up, we talked things out for more than 5 hours. Something we both came to admire.
We dated for another year, but her family committed her to do a year long mission for the church and she said she wanted to do it after thinking about it for a while.
She spent a month with me before she left, and during which she found a ring I had. She asked what it was, and I told her it was a promise ring I was going to give her before she broke up with me the first time. She didn't know what to say, and said she didn't think I loved her that much then. She said it meant so much to her.
I don't make a lot of money right now, and before she left, I proposed to her with the promise ring, saying I was that serious about her and I wanted to marry her more than anything. She said she'd say yes for real when she came home to me and gave me a kiss.
A few days before she left, she sent me 3 engagement ring ideas.
Does my proposal, and horrible as it was, count as a real one?
