this weekend me & my fiance had an over crowded house
let me set the scene, we've been lving together a year, i'm almost 7 months pregnant and i had invited my sister and her 5 month old over a month a go to stay the weekend as we live a while away from eachother and its rare to catch up in person. anyway we have a spare room that wil soon be our baby room. it has a crib in it (that we were going to let my sisters baby use for the two nights) and a fold out sofa bed futon thing that my sister was going to sleep on, it was all aranged and going to be lovely. i came home from work on the Thursday the night before they arrived and my fiance was mucking around with the crib so i was like what are you up to? he said his mother dislikes sleeping in a room with it because it makes her feel like she's not at home? (which she isn't its our home get over it) and i was like thats nice but my sister is going to need that for when she stays and he ws like well syhe's not staying in here my mother is coming over this weekend.
so my sister was expected to sleep on the downstairs sofa with her baby without a crib because there's no room down there for it.
i argued about it he called his mother and she sugested we give up our bed for her and we sleep on the sofa ( the two of us on a 3 seater sofa whilst i'm heavily pregnant) or just tell my sister not to bother coming down.
well i told my sister about it and for her to come down first so she was all set up in the room so she didn't have to give it up. my fiance called me selfish and i ended up sleeping on the futon with my sister so his mother could have the bed and he slept on the sofa.
was i being selfish or was i right to be pissed off?
