My boyfriend of one month got mad at me last week because I ran into a guy I used to date but didn't tell him who he was till later on at night. He asked me who he was and I was honest but felt weird to tell him right after I saw the old fling. I knew he would ask later but he seemed really mad over it.

To top that off, 2 nights ago me and my boyfriend were tipsy and he asked me why I care about sex so much. I told him he was amazing at it and used to have no luck in sex department with my 2 ex bfs. Then he askd me "what about th other two guys?" (he knows my sex # is 4) I thought he asked me about sex so I was honest and said "sex with the other guys was really good" and I smiled ! I can't beleive I did that and my boyfriend got soo mad .

He started saying I ws lucky he didn't kick me out, how could I say that? I made too many mistakes (didn't tell him bout guy right away and that) I felt so bad I cried and kept sating stupid things to make it better but made it worse. He said we were gonna be done! I was so hurt he wanted to end it over something I thought he asked me! I didn't cheat on him ! he didn't really trust me to begin with and looks thru my phone . I would never cheat on him and told him I care about a lot and want to make things better. he said you f***ed up big time , like I was a criminal. I sacrificed a lot , spend money on him, took off school and canceled with my friends to stay two more nights with him and just chill. after he said he wanted to break up, he got a knife and cut himself right in front of me!

After that episode (I tried to stop it, he scared me) he went to sleep and put his hand on me) The next day he said I'm still mad and you're on sh*t list now, but he treated me the same, talked to me and cuddled with me last night.Hes still mad but didn't actually break up like he said. I'm confused now! I Asked him "why did you say all that about breaking up" he said "i was so mad and don wanna talk bout it". He acted pretty normal with me afterwards and even let me stay with him 2 more nights. Do you think I really f***ed up? or do you think he has bad issues and needs to gather himself together cause its not THAT serious?

1. I have seen guys ask why their girl gets mad if they check out other chicks and see the same guys say how they hate it if their girl says a guy looks hot.

2. I have heard men laugh at girls for asking if they look fat while they constantly obsess about their penis size.

3. I even dated a gut who was very thin who was so sure I wanted a beefcake (which I didn't) that we had an argument almost everyday about it ( I hate overly muscular builders they look disgusting to me and yet he just wouldn't let it go.)

Believe it or not all of us, not just women, have things we worry over or obsess about. Thing is, men will tell women to make a guy feel good about his penis size, or the fact he likes porn, while telling girls to get over their own insecurities or inadequacies because they feel it means the woman has "issues" and it is "unattractive."

Or could it be that these very guys, who wish to have all of their concerns addressed just do not want to deal with a woman and her own just as valid concerns...

In the end, we all have demons and baggage to deal with that deserve respect and care, none of us, myself included, are exempt.

Guys--women do not corner the market on insecurity or jealousy issues.

Instead of acting all superior maybe just maybe we will try to understand these issues because WE ALL suffer from them and are imperfect beings.

I am constantly striving to tell women in my articles to understand their partners inherent maleness, to give them space, to let them watch porn, to give the the same understanding for masculine rituals as males may give us for feminine ones.

Women who have taken my advice have been happier and so have their mates.

But can a man adopt this ability to empathize and give a woman an inch of breathing room for her human frailties?

Yes, I am bit peeved at this trend to mock women for their issues when men suffer from them too--people in glass houses...

Is this possible that we can step back and analyze this to come to a greater accord, because if we can't, male and female communication may be doomed...?
