When I was a young man, I thought that I knew what women wanted in a partner and I was convinced that everything they wanted was something I did not have. As I got older and had some dating experiences, I developed a better understanding because I talked to my partners and tried to learn about their perspective. As I developed some real knowledge about what girls want - and had confidence in those beliefs - I also developed self-confidence. I came to understand that not all women want the same thing in a partner, that some women would reject me while others would be attracted to me, and I accepted that as one of the facts of life. Dating in my 40's and 50's was MUCH easier than dating when I was 21 years old.

Do YOU know what the opposite sex wants in a partner? Girls, if you think every guy wants a girl with big boobs, you are wrong! Guys, if you think girls are all looking for a guy with an 8" probe, you are wrong! Do you know what they REALLY want?

Here's a definition one finds when looking up sapiosexual: "One who finds intelligence the most sexually attractive feature; behaviour of becoming attracted to or aroused by intelligence and its use".

On dating websites, I have seen scores of women calling themselves sapiosexual. I am highly intelligent myself (Mensa member and i could elaborate but that would be boring) and from my experience I have never observed any particular reaction of women to the intelligence of some men... nor in the opposite direction but I don't know that men call themselves sapiosexual as much as women do.

So I'm wondering if this is some form of narcissism on these women's part... some claim to be intelligent by proxy, by signifying their interest in an intelligent partner. Or if this is real, in which case I'd like you to elaborate on concrete manifestations of your (or some other woman's) sapiosexuality.
