🤔🧐🤔 Currently is NOT legal to touch a cop, let alone harm a cop- to the point People have zero recourse in the event of abuse by cop. If you react you incur more charges, if lucky. Die, if less lucky... My concern is this will be used easily against powerless people as it feeds the narrative cops are vulnerable to abuse, when this is not a pressing problem, the inverse is more on the nose.

Let’s be realistic we all know “acts like this are not acceptable”... So what is the purpose of trying to highlight what is already well known & understood?

I question the motive of this Act. The symbolism is unneeded... Looks like an effort to positively magnify and normalize preexisting imbalance of power. A reminder in relation to a police person humans, are helpless and expendable. (not all cops are bad of course. This does not solve the problem that not all cops are good & ALL wield IMMENSE power over pretty much Whomever they choose, exempting the rich)

In addition, Possible potential tool, to frame “undesirables” As federal charges result in heavier harsher and or more intractable sentencing.

While Im inclined to agree with this lawyer, I Suspect it has motive beyond grand standing. 👇🏿👇🏿👇🏿

Guys car broke down. We went on 2 dates and he drove. 3rd date was at my house and I had to pick him up. Now it’s the 4th time meeting and I still have to pick him up. While I’m a nice person and I like helping people it makes me feel like I’m being used. Even though his car is broken down. I work all day and then I have to pick up a grown man and then drop him back off at home. (4th date is sex). Should I cancel? Or am I over reacting?
