For me, it depends on how low they sink. If it's things like "you don't belong here, move back to wherever you came from", "you sound like a stupid, pathetic bum, just kill yourself", or "no wonder you can't get a partner, ugly ass n*****" I simply laugh at them. However, when people mix my depression, illness, my romantic frustration, or the hard time I have coping with it, I'm a bit prone to taking low blows back. Admittedly, I go way too far when I do fire back, like when I attacked someone for their recently dead mother and threatened to kill them when they attacked me for my illness and said nobody would come to my funeral. And when I attacked someone else for having a broken family and having no relationship with her father after she attacked me for having depression. How do you react when people do that?
