I go to a women's college and I'm an art major. In the art world you see a lot of naked people (life drawing classes, photography classes, art history classes, etc) but most of the time it is a stranger that you are seeing naked.

This past semester I was in a digital photography class. One classmate photographed herself naked for each project. Another classmate did the same for our second project. and then a third classmate photographed 3 different people naked (asked them to use paint to decorate their bodies and use their body as a canvas and make themselves pieces of art). Where do you find volunteers to pose naked for you? in the art department of course haha.

It was a little weird at first getting used to seeing your classmates naked & critiquing their projects haha. how many times do you get to say "the side of your left boob is too bright and you need to dodge that in some"? haha

anyways, some classmates were super comfortable photographing themselves, photographing others, or letting others photograph them and having their work displayed in the hallway for everyone to see... I was wondering how the GAG population felt.

I personally am not really comfortable with it but I admire others confidence in their bodies haha.

I'm considering getting a tattoo sometime in the future. Its not going to be to showy, I don't want to bring to much attention to myself. I want in all black and have one or more eagles flying higher from crows that are mobbing them. Under that I want a quote that says something like: "Our greatest glory is not never falling, but rising every time we fall."

I know that some employers won't tolerate visible tattoos and I understand that completely. But what is bothering me is that some employers will choose the person with no tattoos at all even if the person who has tattoos meets all criteria. The tattoo that I want is so personal, I want a constant reminder on me through everything that I've been through over years that I can still rise. I want it on my shoulder so I can always look back on it. I don't know if I will have any problems looking for a job after college.

I know that some employers are changing there views on piercings, tattoos, etc. I would like your opinion on body art in the workplace and/or your personal experiences working.

Days ago i was at my doctors. I had to take off my jumper and was sitting there with my bra and jeans. I made a comment about my body that I dont like it and he said "your body is like a piece of art". I just smiled and said nothing and felt a bit weird.

Is it weird or am I overthinking this?
