Last week, after coming to terms with the extent of how I feel, I was unable to hold back and told her I love her. Then I said a bunch of stuff that I was just sort of winging, and my memory's sort of been on the decline for a while, so I can't remember much of it off the top of my head. I said a bunch of stuff about wanting to be near her just so I could marvel at the fact she's real, about wanting to be able to share some of the beautiful moments that come along in life, and my wish that her hand holding mine could be my final sensation in this world.
Then I realized I was babbling, as I do sometimes. I dismissed all these things as common wishes, unproductive and unimportant. I closed telling her that the only thing I really want is for her to be happy. I know that's the oldest cliché in the book, but I really mean it. I told her I want her to meet someone who (to keep it short) is no less than all that she deserves. Loving her enough, making her smile every day, all that stuff. I trotted out the line "someone who can't even sleep at night, because the day they met you, all their dreams came true," which actually came out sounding pretty decent.
A few days later she wrote back, saying that she'd get back to me when she had time to properly respond, which she hasn't yet (busy couple of weeks). I got the usual high compliments, but she said all of it was beautiful and the absolute nicest thing she's ever heard. Here's where it gets confusing. She said it made her cry, but not in a bad way--she was not sad, but it made her uncharacteristically "really emotional."
I'm a generally oblivious person, so I don't get what this means--is this a good sign, or did I do something wrong?
