I have a question about something this guy I like said. I'll describe our relationship first.

We get along, we just met actually in our only class together, math. We joke around, I flirt. He's a sweetheart, quite quirky, but that's why I like him. I'm not sure if he flirts back, or even if he likes me. One thing I am sure of is that he stares. Not at my body either, which is something I've grown slightly accustomed to. He stares right into my eyes, lately for what seems like hours.

For example, we were taking a test, and our teacher is easy going, yet she spreads out our desks due to cheaters. I was in the corner desk by the window and my crush chose the spot right in front of me. After he turned in his test, he sits back down and turns so he's facing the window, but he turns his head towards me. What confused me about this time was that he usually stares intently for a much longer time, but this time he turned quickly away when I looked up.

I digress, however the question I have is from this same day in class.

after class we had free time and we somehow got on the subject of how short I am. ( He's 5'10 and I'm 5'2- is this an okay height difference?) he always jokes about how short I am and how small in general I am. That day though, he compared my hands and feet to those of an animal. He said that I have rodent feet and hands. I'm not conceited, just confused, isn't this an insult? he definitely didn't act like it was, but after he said it he was kind of quiet.
