My girlfriend's parents don't trust me, how can I fix that?

My girlfriends parents don't trust me, I know her mom thinks I'm a great guy, she said it to my face, but won't allow me to take her on a date unless she is there

Her dad I've met once and he doesn't like me at all, like I expected, but he never even gave me a chance

Her dad's a cop and before I met him he was telling her that I was a dirt bag asshole that just wants her pussy, his exact words, she showed me the text.

Then when I met him I called him out saying what the hell I ever did to him to be judged like that, when all he knew was my name.

Then he said he admired me standing up and defending myself, but said I was still a dirt bag

I don't expect him to like me anytime soon, but he could at least try to get to know me and give me a chance, show me some respect at least. nd stop telling my girlfriend that she can't go anywhere without him on the weekends. Unless she is hanging out with my friend boris, boris apparently has his stamp of approval because he is in high school in an advanced english class. mean while I'm in high school and am taking advanced, math, geography and a college course for English. So my question is how I get these guys to trust me to be with her on our own for once. because I only see her about once a month and we live 7 miles from each other. I like her a lot and am bored of texting her and calling her and would like to actually see her more often.

Any ideas on how to get her dad to trust me?

No but that's extremely unfortunate my friend. If it were me, I would just approach the guy. From what you said about him admiring you for standing up for yourself, I think you need to prove to him firsthand that you're a good guy, even if it means via relative force with verbal response to his clearly unjustified view of you as a person. Challenge him a little bit, ask him what he thinks makes a good boyfriend and if he says "ehh...nothin, yer just a dirt bag" respond with something clever and point out the the initial source of foul language not coming from you and the irony that entails. Idk, get creative and hope he likes you. He sounds to me like a guy who can take a hit, especially from someone he doesn't exactly respect, so test that notion until he figures it out. Either that or tolerate him with your mouth zipped closed with iron chains until he sees you're actually an alright person. That's just my two cents though, do with it what you will.

I think it's the fact that you're her boyfriend, if you were just a friend, the parents may see you as less threatening. They sound like scary ass parents though, sorry I can't help too well with the situation, but I do think the word 'boy' in front of friend may mean a lot to the parents.
