Arguments are bound to happen but what makes a friendship survive through it becoming stronger in the end? Surely being swept under the rug will build up and slowly kills the friendship. Communication is key but what if your friend says it's all good even though it's clearly not... Relationship people can answer too caz it reminds me of how couples fight :/

You know, those friends that are mad at you over a petty disagreement that turned into a little argument and say they're cool. But you know they still are mad and tell mutual friends about it. When you ask if we're ok they say 'yeah' but don't act the same anymore; not friendly, never texts or calls anymore, and or keeps the conversation short.

I lost a friend before because of that but I apologized and asked if everything was ok she said yes but then proceeded to act otherwise. Later I find out she's the type to hold grudges so there was nothing I could say or do.
I just want to know how to handle the issue for future reference. If it were me I'd probably act the same because I hate confrontations but that's not good.
