I’ve never been in a relationship and no girl has ever showed interest in me. I’m a really shy guy. This one girl for the past few months has kinda been flirty with me and then distant so I didn’t think anything of it. I honestly was just being myself most of the time but somehow she interpreted it as flirting, I mean I have flirted with her but she didn’t seem to return it so I backed off. Anyways, she asked to talk to me after work on Friday so I agreed to it but then I left early. So today she wanted to talk to me after work and I asked her about what and she said stuff but wouldn’t really say what. So I rolled with it. I actually distanced myself from her today on purpose. she straight out asked me if I’ve been flirting with her and I said no I’m just being myself and she’s like oh I thought you were and was wondering if you wanted to hang out and I said I’m not interested and I know your probably hurt that’s the last thing I want but yeah sorry. And she said oh ok. Her twitter is full of - “who cares about my feelings? This guy played me for months - leading me on, and tries to play me off like a fool. I have feelings you know. I don’t like being played. He’s probably thrilled with himself over the fact that I’m upset. It’s exactly what he wanted.” And my personal favorite straight to me - “hey jake sorry for putting you in an awkward situation tonight... I guess I thought you were flirting with me and kinda got feelings.. and I guess it’s probably my inner desire for wanting a boyfriend or something... anyways I guess that’s what I get for being stupid so yeah sorry” like how am I supposed to respond to that? I do feel bad and I honestly didn’t mean to say that. I do like her however I am super busy with school and barely have time to work. I honestly didn’t want to tell her that and I feel terrible. Now she’s tearing herself down.

I have known this girl for a couple years and here is the scoop. She has tried to get my attention and talk to me since day one. Be around me and the whole nine yards. She flirts with me. Laughs at my jokes and says my name a lot. Teases me playfully compliments me a lot. Wanted selfies with me and to get closer to me. Blushed around me, got red and couldn't look me in the eyes but smiles and hides her face. She got shy and needed her friend beside her to approach me. Secretly stare at me. Her friends teased her because they'd push me to her and one would look at her and say her name when I entered a room. Hold long eye contact and smile then never stop even when I break it. Very openly flirted. Well she did that for months behind a guy's back and she never posted anything with him on fb and kept things on the down low. Well I see her around a year later she is laughing in a car loudly and trying to get my attention. I look over she makes eye contact, dips her head and raises her eyebrows then makes a big smile. Makes eye contact then never stops. I ignored her and did not continue. I broke eye contact and didn't look back did not approach her. Well she was already dating this guy but shown no signs on social media and did this to get my attention and upset I didn't approach. After this has an attitude because I did not engage or approach her. She did this behind the back of a guy she started dating and was on the down low about him.
