Kayla is 16 years old. She's attending high school and has a 3.8 GPA. She has a 17 year old boyfriend named Bobby who just got out of prison for selling drugs and fighting. Bobby promised Kayla that he'd do better but he can still be abusive at times. And Bobby already has a felony and has a job at Walmart paying 8 dollars an hour. Kayla gets pregnant by Bobby because she forgot to use her birth control. Bobby tells her to get an abortion, and he wants nothing to do with the baby. Bobby avoids Kayla, never sees her and even punched her in the stomach when she tried to talk to him about their child. Kayla falls into a depression, her GPA drops, she starts not caring about her appearance and eventually drops out of high school while six months pregnant. Bobby goes back to jail for going on a drive by shooting. And Kayla tries to go her parents. ( her mother only makes 12 dollars an hour) and Kayla recently dropped out and is unemployed.

Rachel is 17 years old. She has a 2.3 GPA and is a senior in high school. She works at Walmart making 11 dollars an hour and is trying to get a second job. She has a 27 year old teacher named Arthur. Arthur Is a teacher, but he's also going to college to be a stock market trader and he's a talented drawer. Arthur is shy, friendly and has a low self esteem. He suffers from depression at times and sometimes think about killing himself and cuts at times. Arthur gets Rachel pregnant. Rachel graduates high school, and Arthur does everything he can to prepare for the newborn. Arthur has a very supportive family, so whenever they need money his family pitches in thousands of dollars to help them with rent and future baby prices. Rachel goes to school to become a real estate agent.

which girl in your opinion has it worse?

Both of them ran away together from their abusive homes when they were young together.
They live together now and can provide for the baby. The father makes a lot of money although I don't really know how but I do know it's most likely illegal.

They've both been through a lot of shit together and both aren't very mentally stable, but it has gotten better lately.

Both are "goth", the father is heavily tattooed and pierced, the mother has two tattoos and three piercings.

Here's the big problem;both are still in their teens;that's why many people think they should put the baby up for adoption. They won't do that by the way.

My point is:they might be goths and might both be in their teens but they can both provide for their son and they already love him so much.
They know it won't be easy but they are both willing to do everything for their son.

My boyfriend and I been dating for over a year
He has told me about his past several times
- his parents gave him up to his grandparents when he was 2 coz they were broke and his dad is an alcoholic and abusive towards the mother
- his grandparents took care of him till he was 13 (they were loving towards him, fed and raised him and they were wealthy)
- when he was 13, his parents wanted to go australia (here) so they took him and his younger brother
- while he was living with his parents and younger brother, he saw the abuse. His father smokes and drinks everyday and beats up his mother and my boyfriend everyday
- when he was 18, he got kicked out by his dad for protecting his mother from the abuse
- ever since then, he has been on his own (finding a job, paying his own bills, paying for his own food, etc) and he told me he has moved to many places and has encountered so many fucked up people in his life
- he reconnected with his family 2 years ago, but still has the resentment towards them
- he tells me that he still hates his family for what they did to him (his dad beating beating him up and his mum not protecting him) but still contacts them sometimes when they contact him first
- few weeks ago, he decided to let me meet his parents for the first time
So anyway, from all this.. do you think he will be abusive in the future?
He never physically abused me (hit me, etc)
He does have bad temper (like me) though
But he's more patient than me
Oh and he's 27 now
So he's been living on his own and doing his own stuff for over 9 years
Would it still affect him?
